Vikings Trade Target No. 4

Alvin Kamara - RB (New Orleans Saints)

As is the case with most years, the Saints' offseason plans for 2024 remain a mystery to fans and analysts alike. New Orleans is in salary cap hell, and while the roster is decent, it's not exceptional.

Some trade rumors have been swirling around Saints superstar running back Alvin Kamara, and many speculate that this offseason could be when we see his departure from the franchise.

Kamara's performance has dwindled somewhat recently due to injuries and a suspension, but he remains a highly skilled offensive weapon who can excel in any system.

In fact, he's so talented that I’d compare him to a hypothetical running back that Kevin O'Connell might create in a lab somewhere. Unfortunately, the current market for running backs is quite narrow, making it difficult to trade Kamara without him agreeing to a significant contract restructure.

Still, if Kamara is willing to make this move, many teams, including the Vikings, would be interested in his services.

Despite not being known for a run-heavy offense, Minnesota could leverage Kamara's versatility to boost their offense, regardless of who's playing quarterback in 2024.

Kamara has seven 1,000 all purpose-yard seasons to start his career, and he hasn't played anything fewer than 13 games in a single season, so the longevity is there. He would be a welcomed asset to the Vikings offense if they want to improve their running back room.
