Kyle Dugger - S (New England Patriots)

The Vikings may want to consider adding Kyle Dugger, a do-it-all safety from New England who has experience in the same system as that Brian Flores runs in Minnesota.

Dugger can play both safety positions and can line up as a linebacker, making him a versatile addition to the Vikings' defense.

If Harrison Smith were to retire or be released and they were unable to afford Antoine Winfield Jr., Minnesota could consider Dugger as an option and keep Josh Metellus as a Swiss Army knife player who can play all over the field for the defense. Duggar can also rush the passer on the defensive line and cover bigger tight ends in the NFL.

Coverage has been a bit of an issue for Duggar when left one-on-one with opposing receivers. The Vikings may be able to sign Duggar for a reasonable price, between $9 million and $11 million per season, which would help their efforts to rebuild their defense into a contender.
