The Minnesota Vikings are hoping to bounce back from their loss last week against the Denver Broncos when they host the Chicago Bears in Week 12.
Minnesota won the first meeting between these teams – 19-13 – but the starting quarterbacks in that matchup were Tyson Bagent and Kirk Cousins. Neither player will start on Monday Night Football.
So, what does this mean in the eyes of oddsmakers? Minnesota is a three-point favorite in this game, but it has to deal with Justin Fields, who looked solid against the Detroit Lions in Week 11.
One of the hardest things to do when betting on a game is predicting the final score, but I’m going to attempt to use the latest odds and trends for this game.
Bears vs. Vikings odds, spread and total
Vikings score prediction
I’m expecting a low-scoring game on Monday night for multiple reasons.
First off, Minnesota hasn’t allowed more than 21 points in five of its last six games, and the team is now at home against a Chicago offense that has been below average – ranking 21st in the NFL in yards per play this season.
There is a key trend that I am using for this prediction as well. Of the 13 Monday Night Football games this season, 12 of them have gone under the total.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are 3-8 on OVERs this season. I expect this to be a bit more of a defensive battle, but I also like the Vikings to bounce back and win after they had a five-game winning streak snapped in Week 11.
Final score prediction: Vikings 20, Bears 14
