Vikings question No. 2

Can the exiting veterans be replaced?

The Minnesota Vikings will look different this season for fans who have grown accustomed to seeing certain players on the field. In addition to running back Dalvin Cook, wide receiver Adam Thielen and linebacker Eric Kendricks are no longer with the team.

Neither Kendricks nor Thielen had particularly great years last season. Still, losing a veteran player and hoping to replace that production with younger or more inexperienced options can be more difficult than it seems.

Minnesota drafted Jordan Addison in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft and should feel comfortable seeing what they can get out of K.J. Osborn. If either of those individuals can step up, the receivers should be okay.

On the other hand, replacing Kendricks might be a little more complicated. Brian Asamoah is in line to fight for the duty but undrafted rookie Ivan Pace Jr. has been turning heads at training camp and could earn a big workload.
