Vikings question No. 4

Can the second-year players make an impact?

The players from the 2022 NFL Draft didn't exactly make as big of an impact as the team probably would have liked. First-round pick Lewis Cine and second-round pick Andrew Booth Jr. struggled to get on the field due to health issues.

Minnesota's biggest contributor from that class was offensive lineman Ed Ingram, who struggled in pass protection and made multiple mistakes. Hopefully, he can show progress heading into his second season with the Vikings.

Failing to get a contribution from your top draft picks can not only slow down the rebuilding process but cause a team to pay more for a more reliable player at a position where the drafted player should have filled in.

If nothing, being able to evaluate what some of these players have to offer the team would be a big step in the right direction and if they can transition that into being productive on the field, it would be a huge benefit.
