A former Minnesota Vikings cornerback has signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.

Cameron Dantzler was a third-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the team before being released early in the offseason following the 2022 campaign.

Dantzler was on injured reserve at the end of the 2022 due to an ankle injury but was a regular starter for the Vikings during his time in Minnesota, playing in 35 games for the purple and gold and starting 26 of those games.

He was claimed on waivers by the Washington Commanders in March but was released in May for unknown reasons. Now, he has found a new home in New York with the Buffalo Bills according to the team's public relations account on Twitter.

The six-foot-two cornerback nicknamed "The Needle" had three interceptions and three forced fumbles while in Minnesota. adding two fumble recoveries and 149 combined tackles to his statistics over his three seasons in a Vikings jersey.

Dantzler adds some experience to a Bills cornerback grouping that already boasts quite a bit of youth. He should help push quarterback Josh Allen, former Minnesota Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs, and the rest of Buffalo even closer to being a team that could represent the AFC in the upcoming Super Bowl.

Financial details of Cameron Dantzler's contract with the Bills has not yet been shared, but it would be a bit surprising to see it be a large contract and will more likely be a type of prove-it deal that could earn him a larger payday in the future.

We at The Viking Age would like to wish Cameron Dantzler the best of luck during his upcoming season with the Buffalo Bills unless he happens to meet up with the Minnesota Vikings in the postseason.
