The Tua Tagovailoa-Brian Flores story continued at full steam on Tuesday, a day after Tagovailoa's comments about Flores' time as the head coach of the Dolphins made headlines.

In a conversation with Dan LeBatard, Tagovailoa talked about the differences between what it's like to play for Flores versus what it's like to play for his current head coach, Mike McDaniel.

"If you woke up every morning and I told you that you suck at what you did, that you don’t belong, that you shouldn’t be here, that you haven’t earned this right, and then you have somebody else come in and tell you, 'Dude, you are the best fit for this. You are accurate, you are the best, whatever, you are this, you are that,' like, how would it make you feel listening to one or the other?"

Flores, who's now the defensive coordinator in Minnesota, was asked about Tagovailoa's comments on Tuesday.

"That hit me in a way that wasn't positive for me," he said. "But at the same time, I've got to use that to say, hey, how can I grow from that? How can I be better? That's really where I'm at from that standpoint. Do I feel like that's me? No. But, how can I go from that situation to create a world where that's the case where anyone says that about Brian Flores."

Flores also added that the two haven't spoken since the comments, though he did leave the door open to it. There wasn't, notably, any sort of denial on Flores' end in regards to the actual things Tagoviloa claimed he said, which Dolphins fans on Twitter were quick to point out. The friction between Flores and Tagoviloa was one of the NFL's more poorly-kept secrets, and there's obviously no love lost between the two even now. I guess that's what happens when you call someone a terrible person and then they go public about it on a podcast.
