Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will reportedly be visiting with the New York Jets this weekend, as he continues to search for a new NFL team.

During the last few weeks, there have been a handful of teams with rumored interest in signing former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook this year, including the New York Jets.

Well, now it seems like Cook suiting up for the Jets during the upcoming 2023 season is more likely than ever, as the running back will reportedly visit with New York this weekend, according to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero on Thursday.

Signing with New York Jets means Dalvin Cook would be teaming up with a Minnesota Vikings rival

If Cook and the Jets ultimately end up agreeing to a deal after this weekend, then that would mean that the former Minnesota running back will be sharing a locker room with a longtime Vikings rival, quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

During his career with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers and Minnesota had their battles, but overall, the quarterback had an 18-11-1 all-time record in games against the Vikings.

In 29 regular-season matchups with Minnesota, Rodgers threw for a total of 57 touchdowns and just eight interceptions while averaging 247 passing yards per contest, which resulted in a career 108.4 passer rating against the Vikings.

It's now very possible that he and Cook could become teammates after spending the last six seasons as rivals.

Something else to keep an eye on following this report is the fact that this visit will likely be chronicled on HBO's "Hard Knocks" since the Jets are the focus of this year's version of the show. If Cook signs, we should be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at how quickly he is able to adjust to New York's offense.

Will Cook finally have a new NFL team to play for after this weekend? It's still up in the air, but the chances certainly seem higher than they ever have been since Minnesota released him almost two months ago.
