New York Jets

We'll probably find out more on Tuesday evening when the first episode of HBO's "Hard Knocks" airs, but it was a bit surprising when Dalvin Cook and the Jets weren't able to agree to a contract during his visit last week.

Prior to his arrival, Cook had a giant, ear-to-ear grin whenever someone would ask him about the possibility of signing with New York. He even went as far to say he thought the chances of signing with the Jets were "pretty high."

Still, no deal was had, and some are wondering if New York is even in the running to sign Cook anymore, especially after the rumors that were stirred by his trainer after the visit.

Despite not signing Cook during his visit, however, the Jets are still believed to be one of the top possibilities for the running back.

On Sunday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport declared that Cook to New York "would make a lot of sense. It just seems like both sides are kind of waiting before they move a little bit closer toward a signing." Rapoport also stated that he "would not be surprised" if the former Vikings running back eventually did end up agreeing to a deal with the Jets this year.
