Vikings first-round pick contender No. 5

Malik Nabers, WR - LSU

Let's be honest here, drafting another wide receiver would be a complete luxury pick for the offense. However, it would also be a nice gift to whoever will be the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in 2024.

Malik Nabers had a massive year for LSU in 2023, catching 89 passes in 13 games for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns. Having him with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison sounds a bit unfair, but could be the key to an unstoppable offense.

The Vikings could be losing K.J. Osborn and Brandon Powell in free agency, meaning that adding another weapon to the mix could be huge for the team. Finding a WR could be easier in the draft than in free agency.

Wide receiver is a position that will likely be addressed later in the draft or with a free agent, but if the Minnesota Vikings like a pass catcher enough, they might make the bold choice to select someone like Malik Nabers in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Other WR options:
- Keon Coleman, Florida State
- Rome Odunze, Washington
