A few days after getting a big win over the San Francisco 49ers, the first Minnesota Vikings injury report for Week 3 reveals how banged up the roster is after going up against a physical opponent.

After their practice on Wednesday, the Vikings shared their injury report, and it features a number of notable names that the team will need on the field this weekend in order to get a win over a 2-0 Houston Texans team.

Justin Jefferson, Dallas Turner among players on first Minnesota Vikings injury report before Week 3 game vs. Houston Texans

While Justin Jefferson leaving Minnesota's Week 2 game with a quad contusion was the most notable injury from the contest, Vikings rookie edge rusher Dallas Turner exiting the game early with a knee injury flew a bit under the radar.

It seems like Jefferson will likely play on Sunday against the Texans, regardless of how much he practices this week. But it might not be the same case for Turner.

Despite Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell classifying the rookie's injury status as day-to-day on Monday, he didn't practice at all on Wednesday, along with Vikings receiver Jordan Addison and right tackle Brian O'Neill.

Addison hasn't practiced at all since injuring his ankle in Minnesota's Week 1 win over the New York Giants. With him sitting out practice again on Monday, the chances of him returning to the field for the Vikings during Sunday's game don't seem very high.

Things could certainly change, but Minnesota will probably prepare for its upcoming matchup with the Texans as if they will be without Addison.

As for O'Neill, this is the second week in a row that he's appeared on the Vikings injury report with an elbow injury. The good news is that he played in Week 2 after being listed as questionable on Minnesota's final injury report before the 49ers game, so perhaps something similar could happen for the Vikings' contest against Houston.
