Former Minnesota Vikings assistant coach Rick Dennison will be reportedly joining the New Orleans Saints as a member of the team's coaching staff for the 2024 season.

Earlier this week, former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak officially left his role with the San Francisco 49ers to become the new offensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints.

Well, according to a report on Thursday, Kubiak won't be the only former Vikings assistant coach to join the Saints staff this offseason.

Rick Dennison, who held multiple coaching roles in Minnesota from 2019 to 2021, is reportedly joining New Orleans for the 2024 campaign as the team's run game coordinator, according to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz.

4 former Minnesota Vikings coaches are now with the New Orleans Saints

If the report turns out to be true, Dennison will become the fourth member of the Saints' coaching staff to have a previous tenure with the Vikings.

There's, obviously, Kubiak, who spent five seasons in Minnesota as an offensive quality control coach (2013 to 2014), quarterbacks coach (2019 to 2020), and offensive coordinator (2021).

But also on New Orleans' staff for 2024 are Joe Woods and Clancy Barone.

Woods is in his second year as the Saints' defensive coordinator, and from 2006 to 2013, he was with the Vikings as the team's defensive backs coach.

Barone is also in his second year with New Orleans after the team hired him in 2023 as their tight ends coach. Back in 2017, he was on Minnesota's staff as the team's tight ends coach, and then in 2018, he spent the season as the Vikings' co-offensive line coach.

Will all of these former Minnesota coaches be able to help the Saints reach the playoffs during the 2024 season for the first time since 2020?
