Former Minnesota Vikings who are still free agents
Anthony Barr, edge rusher
Former Minnesota Vikings outside linebacker Anthony Barr has accomplished a lot in his career. He made the Pro Bowl four times and even had an interesting bust of his head made for a commercial for Subway restaurants.
Barr spent eight seasons in Minnesota, making 98 start, earning 495 combined tackles, 17,5 sacks, and eight forced fumbles. His combination of speed and power made him a versatile player who could rush the passer, drop into coverage, or provide run support.
Last season, Barr played in 14 games for the Cowboys, starting ten of those. He racked up 58 combined tackles, recovered two fumbles, and got one sack in those contests. He proved he can still play at a decent level.
Compensation shouldn't be an issue for a team looking to sign Barr. Last year, he played on a one-year contract worth $2 million with $1.75 million guaranteed. At only 31 years old, he should have a suitor pretty soon to sign him out of free agency.
