Former Vikings potentially going to Dallas No. 3

Troy Dye - LB

Troy Dye started eight games in four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings while playing in 80 contests. Statistically, his time in a purple and gold jersey wasn't very impressive, but the young linebacker could be an interesting addition for Dallas.

Dye has played both inside and outside linebacker and registered his first career sack in 2023 and forced his first fumble. Buying low on an athletic young defender is a small gamble that could pay off for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys will need help at inside linebacker and could see Dye as an interesting option for depth in 2024. Using him to blitz gaps in the trenches as a backup or rotational player could yield some solid results for Mike Zimmer.

At 27 years old, Dye never realized his potential with the Minnesota Vikings. However, a change of location and a new role could see the former purple and gold defender become a valuable defender as well as special teamer.
