Former Vikings potentially going to Dallas No. 5

Cam Dantzler - CB

If you are familiar with the situation that the Dallas Cowboys are facing entering the 2024 NFL season, you know that they will be looking to bring multiple defensive backs to the team. One of those could be former Minnesota Vikings defender Cam Dantzler.

Dantzler spent his first three seasons with the Vikings before spending 2023 with the New Orleans Saints. He only played in two games for the Saints after starting 26 of his 35 games played in Minnesota.

Mike Zimmer only got two seasons with Dantzler, but the former third-round draft pick has shown flashes of potential since joining the league. He's never been an interception machine, but defended eight passes in 2021, his last season with Zimmer.

If Mike Zimmer can get some solid production out of Dantzler as a defender, he could be a sneaky depth signing for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason and wouldn't necessarily need a major role to contribute.
