Potential returning Viking No. 6

Yannick Ngakoue, edge

The reason the Minnesota Vikings will likely be paying close attention to the edge rusher market in free agency has already been outlined. That opens the door for a lot of options, including bringing back Yannick Ngakoue.

Playing on four different teams since being traded to the Ravens, Ngakoue has struggled to find a long-term home. Most recently, he played in 13 games for the Chicago Bears in 2023 when he registered 22 combined tackles, including four sacks.

Last season was the second-lowest sack output of Ngakoue's career. Entering his ninth season, the 28-year-old pass rusher shouldn't be in a major decline. He was placed on injured reserve with a broken ankle last season, which would be something to keep an eye on.

If he's healthy, relatively inexpensive, and willing to reunite with the Minnesota Vikings, Yannick Ngakoue could be an interesting player to watch in free agency as the team attempts to reload at outside linebacker.
