Potential returning Viking No. 8

Linval Joseph, defensive tackle

The Minnesota Vikings had some big problems getting pushed around in the trenches last season. Adding a big body to the mix will be something that the team should be looking to do in free agency or the 2024 NFL Draft.

If the Vikings are unable to draft a young player to fill that role. Signing a player like Linval Joseph could be an option. At 35 years old, Joseph wouldn't be a long-term solution but could be a player to plug in for a season until they can find a replacement.

Last season, Joseph played in seven games for the Buffalo Bills. He had 12 combined tackles and one sack despite only playing 161 defensive snaps. Even if he was a situational or rotational player, there is value in a big defensive tackle.

Odds are that the Minnesota Vikings will look to improve their defensive front in the 2024 NFL Draft. If they don't get someone they feel exceptionally comfortable with, expect them to look in free agency for a big body to fill the trenches.
