Free-Agent Guard No. 1

Kevin Dotson

2023 Team: Los Angeles Rams

Landing a strong pass protector is a must for the Minnesota Vikings, and they don't get much better than Kevin Dotson. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers and traded to the Los Angeles Rams, Dotson shined in his new role.

Dotson earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 85.2 last season by allowing only four sacks and being charged with two penalties, which should make him one of the most sought-after interior offensive linemen in free agency.

The Vikings will need to open their wallets wide if they want to sign Doctson. Spotrac estimates his value to be approximately $16.4 million in 2024, and he is set to cash in after proving himself on his rookie deal.

The six-foot-four, 321-pound blocker would be an immediate starter for the Minnesota Vikings but would also take a big bite out of the team's salary cap, which could be used to extend Justin Jefferson or re-sign a player like Kirk Cousins, Danielle Hunter, or Dalton Risner.
