Free-Agent Guard No. 5

Jonah Jackson

2023 Team: Detroit Lions

Looking at familiar faces from within the division is always interesting when it comes to free agency and Detroit Lions guard Jonah Jackson could be an intriguing addition to the Minnesota Vikings for a couple of reasons.

Jackson was named to the 2022 Pro Bowl as an alternate and has started 57 games over four years as part of a stout Lions offensive line. He allowed two sacks and was responsible for five penalties last season, earning him a grade of 59.7 from PFF.

If needed, Jackson could be an option at right guard as well, but bringing him to Minnesota could be tough, depending on what his market is like. He is coming off a rookie deal and could be one of the more pursued interior offensive linemen in free agency.

Someone with Jonah Jackson's experience and accolades is bound to get some attention, even if he isn't one of the top players at his position at this time in his career. At 27 years old, he has plenty of time to continue his development.
