Myles Gaskin, running back

In Week 9, the Minnesota Vikings saw running back Cam Akers leave the game with what was being called an ankle injury. It was later revealed that his injury was a ruptured Achilles tendon and he would miss the rest of the season.

The Vikings have said that they plan on using Ty Chandler more in Akers' absence, but may also want to look to a more experienced running back who has spent some time in the Minnesota locker room recently.

Myles Gaskin was released by the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday and could be an inexpensive option to bring in after Akers' injury. He played in one game for the Vikings last season and saw action on two special teams snaps.

He has 17 games of experience as a starting running back and has averaged 3.8 yards per carry over the course of his NFL career. Gaskin also has 13 touchdowns between his work as a rusher and a receiver.
