Free agent No. 2

Jayon Brown, linebacker

Ivan Pace Jr. and Jordan Hicks are in no danger of losing their starting jobs, as both have been solid contributors this season. However, depth at the position could be described as being questionable at best.

Jayon Brown hasn't taken the field since an elbow injury placed the Raiders defender on injured reserve in December of 2022. If he is healthy, he is a player who could help a team as a backup or special teamer.

Brown is only 28 years old and has started 45 of his 74 games played throughout his six seasons as a pro. In 2019, he accumulated 105 combined tackles despite only playing in 14 games for the Tennessee Titans.

Although it may be good to knock on wood, the Minnesota Vikings have been lucky to not have a big number of injuries, However, the injuries that have occurred have been significant. There is nothing wrong with some inexpensive insurance at linebacker if a young defender is healthy.
