Vikings free agent target No. 4

Tyler Shatley, OL - Jacksonville Jaguars

The Minnesota Vikings traded Ezra Cleveland away and now both Dalton Risner and Chris Reed are both set to become free agents after this season. Bringing Risner back would be ideal, but if that can't happen, the team needs to be exploring options.

Finding a starting-caliber guard in the NFL without paying a huge amount will be a challenge. However, Tyler Shatley is coming off a two-year deal with Jacksonville worth $4.8 million and has started 49 games in his ten NFL seasons.

Shatley wouldn't be a lock to start for Minnesota but would be a versatile player who could get looks at guard while acting as the primary backup for Garrett Bradbury with Austin Schlottmann set to be a free agent at the season's end.

Versatile players can be valuable on the offensive line and a player like Tyler Shatley could help in a variety of ways, If the Minnesota Vikings can fill some needs with inexpensive free agents, they can focus their picks in the 2024 to ensure they get the targets they are after.
