The Minnesota Vikings will regret not signing these free agents who could have impacted their 2024 NFL season.

General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and the Minnesota Vikings have been busy this offseason signing free agents and re-signing some players to make sure the team can be competitive during the 2024 NFL season.

Deciding which free agents to invest in and which ones to pass on can have a massive impact on the final product a team puts on the football field each week. Signing a player who struggles instead of inking an individual who dominates on the football field can change the direction of a team's future.

Some free agents might be massively talented or show a lot of potential but be a bad overall fit for the team or the scheme. Finding those individuals who mesh with the team's directions and goals is essential in free agency.

Of course, a team's general manager and front office must also navigate the salary cap while attempting to assemble the best roster possible for the upcoming season. All those factors must be included when evaluating which players are worthy of a contract offer.

So far, the Vikings have either signed or agreed to terms with several players during this free agency period. The logic behind signing those players is solid, but there are questions about whether they got the right guy on the right deal or if the team made a mistake and missed out on an opportunity to create a better situation.

Let's look at five players who were not signed by the Minnesota Vikings this offseason and landed with a different team but probably should have been brought to the purple and gold and evaluate why they would have been a good fit for the team and the direction of the franchise.
