Realistic Vikings Free Agent No. 7

Emmanuel Ogbah - EDGE

2023 Team: Miami Dolphins

Signing Emmanuel Ogbah would be a big commitment for the Minnesota Vikings, but having quality players to disrupt opposing quarterbacks should be a top priority in free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft.

Ogbah was released in February after starting only one game in 2023. He played under Brian Flores in 2020 and 2021 when he had nine sacks in each year and started 23 of his 33 games played in those years.

Getting a familiar face with experience to be one of Minnesota's edge rushers would be a big win, even if his cap hit is around $10 million in 2024. Had Ogbah not suffered a season-ending triceps injury in 2022, there is no telling how that season could have gone for him.

With so much attention being paid to the roster holes on offense, it wouldn't be shocking to see salary cap go to the defense and the 2024 NFL Draft be a priority to reload on offense, If that's the case for the Minnesota Vikings, opening the wallet a little for Ogbah would make sense.
