Heading into Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings center Garrett Bradbury has only been on the field for seven of his team's offensive snaps this season thanks to a back injury.

On Thursday, Bradbury returned to practice as a limited participant, and the optimism about him playing in Sunday's game against the Chargers seems to be growing.

In his place, Austin Schlottmann has been doing an okay job at center for the Vikings during the last two weeks. Schlottmann's offensive grade from PFF ranks 23rd among qualifying NFL centers so far this season, and he's allowed the sixth-most pressures among centers around the league in 2023.

Other injury updates for Vikings vs. Chargers in Week 3

Christian Darrisaw - LT

In addition to Bradbury, Vikings starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw also participated in the team's practice on Thursday. Darrisaw has been dealing with an ankle injury and he also practiced on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Minnesota left tackle told KSTP's Darren Wolfson that it's currently looking like he's on track to play on Sunday against the Chargers.

Marcus Davenport - OLB

Unfortunately, Vikings outside linebacker Marcus Davenport hasn't participated in either of the team's practices this week. Davenport has been hampered by an ankle injury since Week 1, and it's limited him to just four defensive snaps so far this season.

The way things are trending, it seems like the veteran pass rusher probably isn't going to be active on Sunday against Los Angeles.

Jalen Nailor - WR

A day after he was acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, running back Cam Akers passed his physical on Thursday and was officially added to Minnesota's roster.

In order to make room for Akers on their active roster, the Vikings placed second-year wide receiver Jalen Nailor on the team's injured reserve list.

Nailor was listed on Minnesota's injury report with a hamstring injury on Wednesday, and with his injured reserve designation, he won't be eligible to return to the team until Week 7 when the Vikings take on the San Francisco 49ers.
