Greatest Minnesota Vikings pass-catching trios from every decade
2010s:
- Adam Thielen
- Stefon Diggs
- Cordarrelle Patterson
Years spent together:
- 2015-2016
Best year together:
- 2016
This was another tough selection, but sticking to the criteria, this was a trio that was difficult to beat.
Cordarrelle Patterson was the first to arrive in Minny as the 29th overall pick in the 2013 draft. He was a good receiver but an even more talented kick returner. In fact, Patterson returned two kicks for touchdowns in both 2013 and 2015.
Adam Thielen also arrived in 2013 as a feel-good story for the Norsemen. As an undrafted free agent from Minnesota State University, Thielen developed into a very good pro receiver.
Stefon Diggs joined Thielen and Patterson in 2015 as a fifth-round pick and quickly became one of the best receivers in the NFL.
In 2016, this trio combined for 205 receptions as Diggs had his first big year (of many) with 84 receptions, followed by Thielen’s 69 catches, and Patterson’s 52.
The following season, Patterson went to the Oakland Raiders before bouncing around the league with three different teams. Thielen and Diggs remained teammates through the 2019 season.
