Former Viking No. 5

Dalvin Tomlinson - DT

Week 1 Stats:

  • 1 assisted tackle
  • 1 quarterback pressure

If you didn’t notice Dalvin Tomlinson’s absence along the defensive line, that’s okay because the Cleveland Browns didn’t notice his impact either.

The Browns looked impressive during their 24-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, but it wasn’t because Tomlinson had a major effect on the game.

Tomlinson played 35 snaps this past Sunday afternoon, but he was only able to make one assisted tackle. Even more alarming, his one pressure came while he played 25 pass-rushing snaps, which accounted for just over 70 percent of his time on the field.

With a missed tackle mixed in, Tomlinson’s debut didn’t come with a lot of success, but neither did his time in Minnesota.

After signing a four-year, $57 million contract with $27.5 million in guaranteed money last offseason, it looks like the Browns may have overpaid and could be hoping for a better performance as the year goes on.
