How to Watch Vikings in Week 1: Minnesota nemesis calling game vs. Giants
By Adam Patrick
With Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season finally here, it's important to make sure that as many members of the purple and gold faithful as possible know how to watch the Minnesota Vikings take on the New York Giants on Sunday from inside MetLife Stadium.
Unfortunately, Vikings fans will have to listen to a former player from one of the franchise's most hated rivals during the television broadcast this weekend, as former New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma will be in the booth with Kenny Albert to call Sunday's contest on FOX.
Vilma was among the former Saints players involved in the team's infamous "Bountygate" scandal that played a role in Minnesota losing the 2009 NFC Championship to New Orleans. The former Saints linebacker was originally suspended for the entire 2012 season by the NFL for his involvement in the scandal. His suspension was later overturned, and he appeared in 11 games in 2012.

How to Stream Vikings vs. Giants without Cable
For those who are interested in watching Minnesota take on New York on Sunday on a streaming platform, there are several options to choose from.
Depending on the subscription package, YouTube TV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, and FuboTV typically carry the local FOX affiliate for wherever the subscriber currently resides.
Fans can also watch Sunday's game live in the local markets on FoxSports.com and the Fox Sports App by logging in with their TV providers. In addition, a subscription to NFL+ also allows fans to watch games live that are broadcast in their local market, including primetime and postseason matchups.
Lastly, for those who are looking for a streaming service that will broadcast Sunday's Week 1 contest between the Vikings and Giants in areas outside of the local markets, this can be accomplished by purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube or YouTubeTV.
With this option though, games that are broadcast on a subscriber's local television affiliate will not be available to watch with the NFL Sunday Ticket package. Still, this is a great option for someone who lives in an area that won't be broadcasting Minnesota's regular-season opener on their local FOX channel.
