How to Watch Vikings in Week 2: Former voice of the Wolves to call game vs. 49ers
By Adam Patrick
When the Minnesota Vikings host the San Francisco 49ers inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday for a Week 2 matchup, a familiar voice will be calling the action from inside the broadcast booth.
Kevin Harlan, who spent nine seasons as the play-by-play voice of the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves from 1989 to 1998, is part of the CBS announcing team that will be calling this weekend's game between the Vikings and 49ers.
It's been a while since Harlan was the voice of the Timberwolves, so younger NFL and NBA fans are likely more familiar with his role as the play-by-play voice for the latest NBA 2K video game. In addition to his TV and video game broadcasting work, he is also the play-by-play voice for the NFL's national radio broadcasts of "Monday Night Football" each week.

For the second season in a row, the Vikings will be hosting the 49ers from inside U.S. Bank Stadium. The two teams met in a Week 7 Monday night matchup last year when a 2-4 Minnesota team found a way to defeat a 5-1 San Francisco squad by a final score of 22-17.
