Is Justin Jefferson playing this week? (Latest injury update for Saints vs. Vikings in NFL Week 10)

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson isn’t expected to play in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints, but he is working his way back from a hamstring injury. 

Jefferson’s practice window was opened this week, meaning he has 21 days to be activated to the active roster for Minnesota. However, the team won't activate him for Sunday's game.

Vikings fans will have to wait until at least Week 11 for Jefferson to return..

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier this week that Jefferson is not expected to return for Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. He was listed as questionable, but he is not expected to play.

Alexander Mattison found the end zone through the air last week, but he could be in line for a huge workload going forward this season with Cam Akers (Achilles) out for the season. 

Since Jefferson is also expected to miss this game and TJ Hockenson is dealing with an injury, Mattison is one of the few healthy playmakers on this roster.

Jefferson will not return in Week 10 according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, but he does have a chance to play in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos. 

“Justin Jefferson, their star receiver, did return to practice this week,” Rapoport said. “Not expected to play on Sunday. It’s not going to be that quick. But the fact that he has his practice window – is back on the field – means he’s at least got a chance next Sunday against the Broncos.”
