Shortly after it was revealed that Jordan Addison was cited for speeding and reckless driving last summer after he was caught driving at 140 mph, Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell shared the following comments about his reaction to finding out about the incident.

"I was disappointed. But it was a mistake and I think he's, obviously, owning that mistake and knows that that's something that can't happen again."

Well, unfortunately, Addison made a mistake again when he was arrested last Friday for suspicion of DUI. So, what will O'Connell decide to do next since he said after the first incident that it was something that couldn't happen again?

What should the Minnesota Vikings do with Jordan Addison?

Following Addison's arrest last week, O'Connell and Minnesota have a big decision to make. Should the Vikings cut or trade him? Should the team just wait and see if the NFL decides to punish Addison? What should Minnesota do?

Flat-out cutting him doesn't seem like something that the Vikings would probably do. If Minnesota is now willing to move on from him, they would likely see if another team is interested in trading for him first before ever considering something like a release.

Despite only being in the NFL for just one season, Addison's chances of earning a second contract from the Vikings are certainly much lower now after his arrest last week. After putting himself in significant danger twice within the last year, Minnesota has every right to not trust the wide receiver whenever he's away from the team.

What seems to be the most likely outcome from Addison's arrest is that the Vikings will wait to see if the league decides to fine or suspend him, and while they're waiting, they could possibly fine the wide receiver themselves and even void some of his contract guarantees if the arrest turns out to be a violation of his contract with team.

Minnesota will have to make a decision about Addison sooner rather than later, as the team's training camp is set to begin in just a few days. Will O'Connell follow the lead of his comments from last summer, or will the Vikings decide to give the receiver one last chance?
