Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was not chosen to be the cover athlete for the Madden NFL 24 video game.

There are a lot of football fans out there who are still big believers in the Madden Curse. The Minnesota Vikings have been represented on the cover of the popular video game series more than once, but will not be featured on the upcoming installment of the hit EA Sports release.

Speculation was swirling that superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a solid chance of being on the upcoming cover, but the recent reveal showed that it isn't his turn yet, as a popular AFC quarterback got the nod.

ESPN Senior Insider Adam Schefter shared an image of the upcoming Deluxe Edition of Madden NFL 24 cover on Twitter and it shows Josh Allen celebrating with fans.

Some Vikings fans are likely breathing a sigh of relief that there is no possibility of the Madden Curse hurting the career of Justin Jefferson or the Minnesota Vikings. Others are probably disappointed that Jefferson didn't get the honors.

When Madden NFL 24 is released on August 18, 2023 on Xbox, Playstation and PC, Justin Jefferson is likely to be among the highest rated players in the game and should have an overall rating in the mid-to-high 90s.

If Justin Jefferson continues to play at a high level, it should only be a matter of time until the dynamic pass-catcher is chosen for an upcoming Madden cover. The Vikings superstar is just too talented and too popular not to receive the honors.

Congratulations to Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills on being the cover athlete for the upcoming Madden NFL 24 video game and hopefully (or not) another Minnesota Vikings athlete will grace the cover in the future.
