Josh Dobbs vs. Fabian Moreau
The Denver Broncos have one of, if not the best, cornerbacks in the entire NFL with Patrick Surtain II. If the Vikings hope to have any shot at winning, Josh Dobbs needs to recognize where Surtain is at all times and make it a point to throw as far away from him as possible. The Broncos' CB2 is Fabian Moreau, who is no slouch, but will probably be targeted early and often by the Vikings' offense.
It will be an all-day battle for Vikings' quarterback Josh Dobbs vs. Moreau and the remaining Broncos secondary on Sunday, as Minnesota should be expected to attempt to steer clear of the shutdown Surtain.
If star receiver Justin Jefferson returns, that will certainly ease the pressure on Dobbs and Minnesota's offense as a whole, but his status is very foggy. Whether Jefferson plays or not, it is still in their best interest to steer clear of Surtain.
Dobbs will have to take note of his location before every snap. Dobbs has played it safe in his first two games, and if Minnesota wants to get their seventh win of the year, he'll need to continue playing it safe against a solid Denver secondary.
