When asked on Thursday about the chance of adding Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel had a unique response.

ESPN's Adam Schefter delivered the news that become inevitable on Thursday when he revealed that the Minnesota Vikings will reportedly release running back Dalvin Cook on Friday if they are still unable to trade him.

The Miami Dolphins have long been believed to be a logical landing spot for Cook once he becomes available. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was asked on Thursday about the possibility of his team adding the veteran running back to their roster and he decided to answer the question in a unique way.

Will the Miami Dolphins be the next team for Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook?

Cook being from Miami, Florida is a big reason why many have connected him to the Dolphins in the last few months. But the talented running back could also help Miami on the actual field during the upcoming season.

The Dolphins did use a third-round draft pick on a running back earlier this year, and they also re-signed some of their running backs from 2022. So Miami isn't exactly desperate to acquire Cook.

But even if the Dolphins are going to end up as one of the teams that attempts to add the Vikings playmaker to their roster before the 2023 season, McDaniel clearly isn't going to hint at anything one way or another.

Because, like he said, he was born on March 3rd, 1983, and this might be a spoiler alert for some people, but that wasn't yesterday.
