4 Vikings climbing up the 2023 depth chart at training camp

Vikings player No. 2
Jaren Hall. quarterback
When a team has an obvious starter at quarterback with a returning veteran as his backup, being able to make the team's 53-man roster can be a challenge since some teams only bring two passers into the regular season.
Rookie Jaren Hall has been making some good throws and impressing onlookers enough that it would be hard to imagine the Minnesota Vikings assembling a final roster without including him as a part of it.
If he can continue to impress, it isn't impossible for him to pass Nick Mullens on the depth chart but that would take some significantly excellent play to accomplish. Instead, it should be refreshing that the fifth-round pick of the Vikings is turning heads.
Trying to sneak Hall onto the practice squad would be extremely risky. The former BYU passer should get plenty of opportunities to showcase his skills as training camp and preseason goes on, making his story a fun one to watch even if he wasn't present at Friday's practice.
