Third-Round Pick: Mekhi Blackmon - CB (USC)

Stats: 12 tackles, 4 passes defended

Mekhi Blackmon is quietly putting together a solid rookie season. The reason it's so quiet is that he isn't lighting up the stat sheet at all. He's only accumulated 12 total tackles with no interceptions or sacks.

He also hasn't accumulated many penalties and also doesn't allow many passes to be caught when the ball is thrown in his direction. He has four passes defended this season, with an impressive three of those coming against the hated Green Bay Packers.

He is actually the Vikings' highest-ranked cornerback according to PFF, ranking 28th out of 114 corners.

Blackmon is a rookie who could very well start making more noise in the second half of the season. It feels like he's really coming into his own these last couple of games, and those big plays that get him recognition will come to fruition in only a matter of time.
