The most underrated Minnesota Vikings moves this offseason

Minnesota Vikings re-signing help in the trenches

On February 17, the Minnesota Vikings announced they re-signed defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga and offensive lineman Blake Brandel. Those names might not mean a lot to fans who don't watch the trenches, but these were good signings.

Tonga started two games for the Vikings last year and saw action in 11 contests. He had 28 tackles and four pass defenses in his limited action, meaning he could be more productive if given more opportunities, especially if he wins a starting job.

Brandel can be used as both a swing tackle and extra blocker as needed. He started three games in 2022 and played in nine contests, seeing the field for 309 total snaps on offense and special teams last season.

Having high value players at a low cost who can step in if needed is a huge relief in a league where anything can happen and the next man up will need to play at a high level if their number is called on a moment's notice.
