Second-Round Pick (42nd overall)

Jack Sawyer - EDGE (Ohio State)

Keep an eye on the Vikings tapping into the edge rushing market in the offseason. With guys like Josh Uche, Chase Young, and Josh Allen potentially available in free agency, it makes sense for Kwesi and his staff to add to a very depleted unit, especially after trading Danielle Hunter in this mock.

Minnesota might only be able to afford one above-average free-agent pass rusher in the offseason. Luckily, in this mock, the Vikings land an every-down starter on the edge with their only pick on Day 2 of the 2024 draft.

Ohio State'sSawyeras a little bit of Maxx Crosby to his game. Sawyer stands 6-foot-4 and weighs about 265 pounds, and although he's a bigger edge rusher, he is very nimble and has a motor that few can keep up with.

Sawyer has a great bull rush, and if he can continue developing his pass-rushing plan, then he can potentially be a 7-10 sack per season rusher on the edge for Kevin O'Connell and the Vikings.
