Vikings 53-man roster projection
Quarterbacks (3)
- Kirk Cousins
- Nick Mullens
- Jaren Hall
Talk about quarterbacks will always dominate the discussion when it comes to the NFL. Having a solid quarterback on the roster can mean the difference between making the postseason or watching the playoffs at home on TV.
For possibly the final time, Kirk Cousins heads into the season as the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. His connection with his receivers was solid last year and that should continue to be a strength for the team this season.
Nick Mullens returns as the team's backup quarterback and looked capable in the preseason game and did well in his previous on-field experience. Fans should feel comfortable with him in that role moving forward.
Jaren Hall struggled during the preseason game, but there is still plenty to like about the rookie passer. He will have more opportunities to shine this preseason but would not likely be able to be stashed on a practice squad.
