Cornerbacks (5)

  • Byron Murphy
  • Andrew Booth Jr.
  • Akayleb Evans
  • Mekhi Blackmon (R)
  • Jay Ward (R)

Minnesota's group of cornerbacks for the 2023 season looks very different that what the team rolled with in 2022. The Vikings moved on from Patrick Peterson, Chandon Sullivan, Kris Boyd, and Cameron Dantzler this year, and in their places, Minnesota signed former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Byron Murphy in free agency in addition to selecting Mekhi Blackmon and Jay Ward in his year's NFL Draft

Andrew Booth Jr. and Akayleb Evans will attempt to make a bigger impact than they were able to as rookies in 2022. Injuries got in the way of both of these players last season, so they'll be motivated to prove they're worth the draft picks the Vikings spent on them last year.

Joejuan Williams is another veteran corner Minnesota signed in free agency this offseason. The Vikings could choose to keep Williams on their final 2023 roster, but if the team needs a roster spot for someone else, the former New England Patriots cornerback might end up being the odd-man out.
