Third Round (Pick No. 83)
Jonathan Mingo - WR (Mississippi)
With guys like A.J. Brown and DK Metcalf coming out of the school recently, Mississippi has turned into a program that apparently churns out chiseled wide receivers that are some of the most athletic pass-catchers in their draft class.
At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Jonathan Mingo could easily follow in the footsteps of Brown and Metcalf if he lands with the right team. When it comes to the right team, the Vikings are one organization that could potentially get the most out of Mingo.
Minnesota obviously already has Justin Jefferson, and for now, K.J. Osborn is the assumed No. 2 receiver. But if either Jefferson or Osborn misses time next season, they're going to need a receiver that is talented enough to at least partially make up for their loss.
Last season, Mingo caught 51 passes for 861 yards and five touchdowns. His yards per reception average of 16.9 is what is the most intriguing though, as the Vikings could utilize him as the deep threat in their passing attack.
