Fifth-Round Pick No. 2 (161st overall)

Tate Ratledge - OG (Georgia)

To strengthen their offensive line, the Vikings need to add more depth behind Dalton Risner (who some expect to re-sign this offseason) and Ed Ingram.

While Austin Schlottmann, Chris Reed, and Blake Brandel are Minnesota's current backup guards, none of them appear capable of replacing either Risner or Ingram long-term if they were to be injured.

Therefore, Ratledge's addition to the team would provide Kevin O'Connell with peace of mind. Ratledge is an athletic guard who can pass block and run block efficiently and handle bigger nose tackles and defensive ends.

He needs some coaching to become a starting guard in the NFL, but his selection will help the Vikings' coaching staff feel more confident about their interior offensive line in 2024.
