Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen finished with just one catch for two yards in his 11th game with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

In his first season with the Carolina Panthers, things really couldn't be going much worse for former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen.

Thielen's numbers have been respectable this year, with 76 catches for 726 yards and four touchdowns heading into Week 12. But, overall, the Panthers have been one of the worst teams in the entire NFL this season.

Against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, things got even worse for the former Vikings receiver in a Carolina uniform, as he finished with just one catch for two yards on three targets.

Former Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen has a historically bad game for Carolina Panthers in Week 12

In terms of Thielen's entire NFL career, his performance on Sunday was, unsurprisingly, one of the worst since he first entered the league in 2013.

The two yards he had against the Titans this weekend is the second-lowest amount he's finished with during his pro career in a game in which he was a starter and he caught at least one pass.

Only Thielen's one catch for zero yards performance in a Week 13 loss to the Detroit Lions during the 2021 season was worse than what he was able to do on Sunday.

Thielen signed a three-year contract with Carolina this past offseason after spending the first 10 years of his career with the Vikings.

Not much of the Panthers' struggles this season can be blamed on the veteran wide receiver. And even though he's been a focal point of Carolina's offense, it doesn't seem crazy to think that Thielen probably wonders what this year could have been like if he had figured out a way to remain with Minnesota.
