Team No. 4: Detroit Lions

Record vs. Lions: 80-41-2 (65.9%)

There is a little bit of a trend with the first four teams on this list. They are the only four teams in the NFL that have never appeared in a Super Bowl. However, the media is big on the Detroit Lions this year and are the favorites to win the NFC North, not the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota and the Lions have faced off 123 times with the purple and gold winning nearly two-thirds of those and outscoring Detroit by 400 points. The last matchup went to the Lions on Dec. 11, 2022, when Jared Goff threw three touchdowns on the way to a 23-34 Vikings loss.

Last season saw a dubious battle between these two teams to see which defense would give up the most total yards. Detroit ended up with that distinction, but both teams have a long way to go to prove they can stop opposing offenses.

With the two teams facing off twice a year, this record is likely to change often. Games between Minnesota and Detroit are coming up in Week 16 and Week18 and could be huge in determining the winner of the division.
