Prospect No. 5

Cam Ward - QB (Washington State)

When Cam Ward transferred from Incarnate Word to a Power 5 program, the goal was to emerge as an NFL-caliber prospect with all of the tools. In his second season at Washington State, that plan seems to be in motion.

Ward is going to make his money as a quarterback who takes care of the ball and makes smart decisions but is also capable of extending plays and being a threat both through the air and on the ground.

This season, Ward has 16 total touchdowns (13 passing, three rushing) with zero interceptions. He has thrown for 1,389 yards while rushing for 109 yards. On Saturday against Oregon State, Ward was absolutely phenomenal.

He completed 28-of-34 attempts for 404 yards and four touchdowns in addition to running for 14 yards and a score as Washington State knocked off Oregon State at home. Washington State is now 4-0 and is ranked 16th in the country amidst a strong Pac-12 conference.

If Cameron Ward continues playing the way he has this season, he will create a ton of buzz before the NFL Draft while also retaining eligibility beyond this season.
