Potential Vikings prospect No. 1

Safety Tyler Nubin (Minnesota)

Vikings fans should be familiar with a local star in the making. Tyler Nubin entered the season as perhaps the best safety prospect in the 2024 class and he made sure to prove that claim in Minnesota's ugly Week 1 victory over Nebraska.

Nubin was a ballhawk in the secondary and did his part to limit Nebraska's offense to a measly ten points. The safety recorded three tackles and came up with two crucial interceptions including a clutch snag over the middle with just over a minute left to set the Gophers up for a game-winning field goal.

He also made a diving catch to pick off Jeff Sims as the Cornhuskers were driving in the second quarter. Safety may not be a priority-level need for the Vikings but with Harrison Smith likely entering his final year or two, replacing him with a game-wrecker like Nubin would be a fun swap.

Tyler Nubin brings the total package that any NFL team would want in a safety. He has the size (6-2, 205) and the athleticism to be a dominant force on the back of the defense. A three-safety look with Nubin, Lewis Cine, and Cam Bynum would be quite the look for opposing offenses.
