The Minnesota Vikings need to get Justin Jefferson a contract extension but getting a deal done isn't as urgent as it may seem.

Stress levels among the Minnesota Vikings fan base are extremely high when it comes to the future of Justin Jefferson. It would be difficult to find a fan who wouldn't be on board with the team giving him a massive contract extension.

A first-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jefferson made an immediate impact on the team as soon as he was inserted into the game. He is already racking up accolades, including Offensive Player of the Year, receptions leader, receiving yards leader, First Team All-Pro. two All-Pro Second Team nods, and three Pro Bowl appearances.

There is little doubt that the Vikings are going to make Justin Jefferson and his agents very rich, but the idea that it has to be before the 2023 NFL season kicks off isn't exactly accurate since there are some reasons the team doesn't have to hurry into a deal.
