Reason No. 3

Justin Jefferson isn't going to get much cheaper or more expensive

Let's be honest, Justin Jefferson doesn't have much to prove after three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. His talent is obvious and when a contract extension is completed, he will be compensated mightily.

In fact, Jefferson is likely to become the highest-paid receiver in the league no matter what happens during the 2023 NFL season and there are very few scenarios that would result in anything other than this being out the outcome of negotiations.

The Vikings are still trying to maneuver themselves into a better salary cap situation and once they figure out how much they can afford to give Jefferson, that offer will likely go on the table to keep him in a purple and gold jersey for many years.

Justin Jefferson has earned his big payday from the Minnesota Vikings. He will get that massive contract sometime soon, so there isn't too much use in stressing over a deal not being done quite yet.
