4 Vikings who could make their first Pro Bowl in 2024

Vikings Pro Bowl hopeful No. 2
Josh Metellus, safety
Although it is unlikely Josh Metellus will make the 2024 Pro Bowl, his contributions to the Minnesota Vikings have been paramount to the team's success and that should be noted when thinking about who you vote for at safety.
The major problem is that Metellus isn't a traditional strong or free safely. He is used all over the field in a variety of ways that allows him to take on a variety of roles in Minnesota's defense. His non-traditional role will hurt him when it comes to votes.
This season, Josh Metellus has accumulated 81 combined tackles, 10 quarterback hits, four pass defenses, three forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks, and an interception through 12 games. That is impressive despite not having a clearly-defined role.
It is extremely unlikely Metellus makes the 2024 Pro Bowl, but that doesn't mean that he's not deserving. Safeties in a bigger market with more consistent roles are likely to command voting, but that doesn't make him any less worthy.
