Vikings player probably not returning No. 4

Danielle Hunter, edge

Very few Minnesota Vikings fans should want to see Danielle Hunter leave the team after this season, but there were times during this offseason that it wasn't clear if the talented edge rusher would even play in 2023.

Through three games, Hunter is in second place in sacks with five. He is definitely making a case to be well worth the $17 million fully-guaranteed deal that the Vikings gave him for one year. He is playing his way into a raise next offseason as a free agent.

Replacing both starting edge rushers will be a challenge for the Vikings but Hunter will definitely be the more difficult of the duo to replace. Although there have been times that he's struggled to stay healthy, he is exceptionally productive when on the field.

Hunter will likely draw a lot of interest when he hits free agency. Considering he will still be under 30 years old, he could be a great piece for a rebuilding team with a lot of salary cap space. Sadly, that's not the Minnesota Vikings.
